The story of Adam and Eve is a tragic one, but it doesn’t have to be. In a perfect place, God created the image of Himself. Adam, the image of God, did not want to be alone. He wanted to share His life experiences with someone. That is when God said that it is not good for man to be alone and that He would create Adam a helper; someone who could share his journey with.
Eve was created out of Adam. They are actually one soul but in two separate bodies there to complement one another. They are different, yet, are the same. God created Adam like the tree that gives life and Eve like the tree who knows because she is the one who learned the difference between what is good and evil.
In the beginning, their love was naive and immature. In their passions, they convinced each other to be one physically before that day was over. It was the magnetic energy between the two that was too strong for them to say apart. The sixth day had not been completed yet. The man and the woman did not know who they were in the image of God.
The Vessel that Broke
From there a son was born who was called sin. Who is sin? Sin created a division between the man and the woman that they no longer saw what was good in each other. They began to hate each other instead. That is when the man turned his back away from the woman as he said to himself, “I’ll never trust the woman again”.
Cursed
The man and the woman, now cursed, were lost in a sea of darkness until that day when a new child that God promised would be born. The promised child would bring light and free the man and woman from their misery of not knowing one another anymore.
The Love of God
God reveals Himself in an image. It is difficult to look at an image and recognize that the image is the same, yet, it is completely opposite. All of us are here on our journey from these first two people. We have no idea what we are all doing here. The way it stands, we are destroying ourselves and this place we call Earth, our garden, where we all live in. What is the whole point of it all?
Seeing Yourself in the Image
Adam, who is life, is who we are trying to find. Humanity has only known death. We are repeating our existence, over and over, in this place until we finally learn. We need to learn the truth about who we really are — Then this day will finally be over.
The woman is in the man. She is the man. She believes in her Adam because she chooses to love him. The woman is the tree of knowledge of good and evil. She learns what is good is God. The woman learns to love God to become His love. The woman becomes the image of God, who is life, and that is when the man knows who he is.
We become one mind that knows — the light of God who is born.
“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Hebrews 10:16-17
