Who said love was easy? Every single human being is here to learn how to be in love. But love is selfless. Love is kind. Love is unconditional love because love understands the other. Love has compassion and understands that people make mistakes. Love is forgiving. Love is the best version of ourselves that we could possibly give to the other.
Adam and Eve
We are here to understand our true selves. We are all here looking for our identity. Who are we? We are all an image. We are all supposed to be an image of God.
Whatever we reflect in the other is who we are. If we believe the other is evil, well, we are evil. If we believe the other is good, well, we are good.
We all are Eve because Eve chooses to love the man. Eve chose to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil that separated her into an oblivion of darkness never to see the light of day again until she broke her curse and learned to love the other. That is when her beautiful light is birthed to shine on that darkness that held her captive for such a long time…
The Evil Narcissist
Male or female, we all can be him. The narcissist is in complete darkness because he does not love. The narcissist cannot love because he only sees evil in the other. The narcissist is whole-heartedly selfish. He is not kind. He does not unconditionally love the other because he is only concerned for his own well-being. He protects himself and is afraid to love the other. The narcissist holds grudges and does not forgive. He only believes in himself and his teenie-weenie identity.
The Good Empath
The empath loves the other. She believes in the good in herself that she finds in the other. The empath puts herself in the other to become the other to understand the choices that were made. She has compassion and forgiveness for the other. The empath finds her identity in the good in the other.
Surrender to Love
The longer we stay confined to the self by protecting what we believe is our identity the longer the wicked game continues. Love is not evil so no evil can become a part of it. Love also does not fear losing it’s identity in loving the other. Love is a complete surrender to the other because we are wholly committed to loving God. Love is not giving to the narcissist allowing him to walk all over us. Love makes healthy boundaries deserving to be respected.
Ultimately, love sets us free from the wicked game we play…
"You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect." -- Matthew 5:43-48
