As the world slowly reopens we are trying to comply with all the new rules. The ongoing drama of what will happen next continues.
The Heresy
People who sit in high places who use their higher ranking positions to take advantage of others are the worst of the worst. Outwardly, they appear to be honorable, but inwardly they are snakes that somehow managed to slither there way into places of power. Through the support of the powerful entities that employ them, they have the ability to conceal themselves well.
But God’s eyes are upon all of us and God hates hypocrisy:
And they come to you as people come, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear what you say but they will not do it; for with lustful talk in their mouths they act; their heart is set on their gain. And behold, you are to them like one who sings lustful songs with a beautiful voice and plays well on an instrument, for they hear what you say, but they will not do it.
Ezekiel 33:31-32
Accountability is being in the light
Because of today’s sophisticated technology, it is more difficult to keep corruption hidden. Internet, microphones, cameras, social media, documentaries, etc. are all exposing truths about things that may have otherwise easily remained hidden.
Everyone is accountable — If you have nothing to hide then you have nothing to worry about.
Live knowing God is watching
Belief in God is questionable these days.
If one does not believe in good, then what gives one good moral? What drives you to make integral decisions? Since rules seem to be skewed these days, without God, how do we even know what is the right thing to do?
The need for change
We are in the midst of finding a balance amongst the good and the bad. We have a history of doing good and bad, so now we must make our choice.
COVID along with all the other challenges life brings makes us stop to think. We understand that change must happen in order for us to survive. We can come out stronger by making better choices or we can continue the dysfunction and endure more consequences.
We don’t like change and we think we don’t need to. We like the old because we cannot see the good in the new. Rebellion kicks in — is it all about me or is it really about us?
If we want to survive, we have to realize who we are. I am you and you are me. We are one and the same. What I do affects you, which in turn affects me. We are all independently interconnected and one of the same.
God is love
Loving God is loving ourselves and loving one another.
Defining God is no simple task either. But today, we are teetering on a fine line between darkness and light. We are in a place in time where things are becoming defined. Darkness is in the light and can no longer remain hidden — We are transitioning to something anew.
Nothing travels faster than the speed of light. We are learning truth faster than we ever could before. Now, we are faced with an important decision: Either choose to be with the light or rebel. There are no excuses once we know.
BUT we are not the rebels and we do not lower our standards because of them. We are the strong because we understand. We do what is good and what is right, not only for ourselves but for one another.
The Promise
I don't regret those fourty years in the desert,
As tired, hungry and thirsty as I was,
It was worth it.
God kept His promise,
I see ahead of me now,
It's not just a mirage.
