What Are You Worth?

Who are you REALLY?

God is unbelievable! Because He is so unbelievable, just how do we believe in Him? If God created us, doesn’t understanding ourselves depend on understanding who God is? How are we supposed to be? We remember stories from the Bible such as a talking burning bush, Moses splitting the Red Sea, and Jesus turning water into wine… these are amazing stories, but is that just what they are — stories?

Faith in the power of God.

If we are created by God and are in His image, no less, shouldn’t we also be like Him?? We fail to identify with an almighty God because we fail to believe in our almighty selves! We don’t believe that what is good in us is actually the image of God! God is all things good! The good that we are and do is God’s image. It is being holy and recognizing that we are! Unfortunately, we struggle to know how to identify with an amazing God since we tend to focus on the mishmash of dysfunction in ourselves instead. We obsess about our imperfections and dwell on the negative deeming God to be unattainable and almost like He isn’t even real. Since we dwell on the negative, we only see our broken selves and don’t allow ourselves to be deserving of God’s goodness. We find it hard to identify with what scripture actually says about who we truly are, so we also fail to believe that we have a forgiving God who forgives us. We limit ourselves. Because we reject ourselves we actually reject God since we can’t accept the mistakes we make.

God forgives us; therefore, we are perfect in His eyes.

If anyone is united with the Messiah, he is a new creation – the old has passed; look, what has come is fresh and new!

2 Corinthians 5:17

We are important!

We don’t expect more from ourselves since we can’t believe that we are more. We are sons and daughters of the almighty God! An amazing God created human life in the reflection of His magnificence!!

We fail to see God in ourselves and how that makes us magnificent too! God thinks we are magnificent when we believe in Him in us! We are His children and He desires the very best for us.

We are worthy of knowing God — Believe in Him to believe in you ❣

For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place,
    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.
Psalm 139:13-16
