In My Nakedness

All our sins have forsaken us,
Yet, I am before you in my nakedness.
With nothing left for me to hide,
Since the depths of hell stole all my pride.
Until now, a time and a half has passed,
While all along I’ve remained an outcast.
But in this hour there is one thing I’ll say,
About why I think it has gone on this way.
Since in our ignorance, we’ve caused a great war,
Not understanding how to love anymore.
But I’m hoping we can forgive our past,
And be together, forever, as One, at last.
Since all my tears fail to cover my shame,
As I stand here naked with myself to blame.
