God, Poetry, Thought-Provoking

The Sixth Day

There was evening,
Then there was morning,
When God created this day.
Half the day is in darkness,
The other half is in light.
~
God called it the sixth day.
Making it our day because,
Together we made mankind,
In our own image,
After our own likeness.
We made mankind to have dominion,
Over all God's other creations.
~
God created you and me, today,
In this darkness, He created us.
To learn about each other,
To learn about the light.
