WORLD WAR III: The Spiritual War Within

Disconnected from understanding anything anymore; you find yourself lost, so lost that you don’t know how to get along in this place. You have no idea where the map is or how to read it to be able to find your way home. You are seeing just how cruel this place can be. The more you walk in it; the deeper the mess you find yourself in. You ask yourself over and over, “How did I ever get in this place?”

You have nothing to eat and have been starving for days, weeks or maybe it has been months. You are so very thin and frail. You have not had anything GOOD to eat in such a long time, you cannot even remember what GOOD tastes like. It is difficult to know what is even GOOD anymore. Your BAD judgment ends up getting the best of you again; you find something to eat, but it is poisonous and you violently, vomit it up afterward.

There is nothing to drink either — the water is polluted and it is polluting your body, killing you slowly.

Your passions have dried up. You know you are dying — life has stolen your desire.

You ache all over; overwhelmed because this journey has beaten you to a pulp. You lie on the floor and are unable to get up. There is no energy left in you to go on. You hate who you have become, but you don’t know how to be. You cannot trust anyone or anything because life has let you down, over and over again. You have lost yourself and have given up.

This is DARKNESS — and it has won. It came to you in the form of a LIE and has convinced you, now, it claims it’s prize, which is you.

TRUTH tells a different story:

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

HEBREWS 4:12,13

DARKNESS is in your life for a reason. It is there so that we see and identify with the LIGHT. If we know what is BAD then we can know what is GOOD. We can learn from our mistakes. We can be healed — God wants us to be healed.

Finding the balance of DARKNESS and LIGHT is like a double-edged sword. When we understand the complement of God, we have become mighty warriors and nothing will ever stop us from allowing the TRUTH of God to prevail in ourselves and the world!
