Encourgement, Faith, God, Spirituality

There are two things that we can believe in — We can believe in light or we can believe in darkness. We know that God is POWERFUL light. When light is shone on darkness, darkness withers away.

We know God created us; therefore, we understand that we have been made with a piece of God’s light that resides deep within us. If we believe in the light that is within ourselves then we can know we are also light. God is with us and is actually a piece of us since He created us.

We are light, therefore, darkness has no power…

It is very easy to be afraid of our circumstances that oppress us. Oppression is around all of us at all times. It tries to convince us we are something we are not. Its goal is to give us an identity that is different than who God wants us to be. God wants us to know our true selves by overcoming oppressive situations in our lives — whatever our struggle is. The struggle is different for each of us, but we all have a struggle and the harder the struggle the bigger the reward is overcoming it.

Believe in that piece of you that is God!

The more you believe in your true self, you’ll overcome the oppression in your life because you will do it with the guidance that God wants you to find with Him. The more you understand God in yourself, the stronger you will be to be able to overcome further darkness in this world.

Darkness is a bully

In school, you see the bully in the hallway, which forces you to take a longer way to your destination to avoid any confrontation with him. But, let’s say the bully happens to be at a place where you did not expect him to be, and now you are face to face with him. You stand there like a deer captured by a set of headlights not knowing what your next move should be. The bully sees your fear and relishes in it, knowing he has you at his mercy and can do whatever he likes to you.

It is time to stand up to the bully in your life!

Stand up to the bully in your life in a righteous way…

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. — Matthew 6:33

Stand up to these situations in your life that are trying to tell us that we are weak and that we cannot handle them — in reality, we are not weak because we have the strength of God to overcome anything!

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? — Romans 8:31

We are the light, and we need to believe in the light that is in us. When we see this light in each other we need to let each other know we see it. We need to encourage one another to bring out their good attributes to bring more of this light out into the world by seeing it in each other.

We need to be more positive and uplifting to one another.

God is in control

God puts oppressive situations in our lives because He wants us to have faith in Him to overcome them. He wants us to depend on Him and find strength in Him — that is when we will find that we can do anything and nothing or no one will stop us from doing the will of God.
