Here is the part that nobody likes — The rules. The rules are important since they establish boundaries that need to be respected to achieve order and balance. There has to be rules even if we don’t like them.
There are scientific rules that our physical world follows in order to achieve balance; therefore, why would there not be spiritual laws that keep our spiritual lives in balance too?
Newton’s third law is:
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The statement means that in every interaction, there is a pair of forces acting on the two interacting objects. The size of the forces on the first object equals the size of the force on the second object.
None of us liked algebra in high school, but unless you followed the rules of math you could never define an equation with the right answer.
According to Bodmas rule:
If an expression contains brackets ((), {}, []) we have to first solve or simplify the bracket followed by of (powers and roots etc.), then division, multiplication, addition and subtraction from left to right.
It is important for us to understand that we are not in control of this world or ourselves. There are a set of rules that need to be followed first for us to find the balance in everything we do.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23
God wants us to make the choice to believe that His way is the way to achieving balance and perfection. We are not robotic and we are allowed to make mistakes along the way. Like children, mistakes are how we learn to grow and develop into understanding who God made us to truly be.

I feel that rules are from those that have come before us, and put together out of love. They help to guide us and keep us safe from the things that we may not know or understand yet.
