I may be doing a lot of preaching about being confident and loving yourself, but in amongst all of that wonderful, feeling stuff we also have to be humble, which means all this work isn’t for our glory.
All this work on ourselves; we are doing great things for one another and we are feeling just fabulous now! God made us awesome, everybody loves us, everything is going just as planned; we are connected, we are on-top-of-the-world!
Everybody loves us and we love the attention…
Do you sense a but coming on?
BUT!
We have to understand that it isn’t about our glory either. We are all a part of one another; therefore, all this work on yourself and doing good things for your brothers and sisters is on the bigger scale of things still about yourself, but it is God’s scale and He is the one in charge, not you.
We have to put things into perspective. He is Father and we are child. He always makes the rules and we always just follow them.
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Proverbs 11:2
