Be Perfect as Your Father in Heaven is Perfect

How can we be perfect? ….Well, here is my take on it all. I have been writing a lot about making mistakes, and now I am writing about being perfect. Here is how I think it comes together…

God wants us to make mistakes since we learn in making them. As I have said in my more recent posts, and I am supported by the Bible, we were created to make mistakes. We are like children, but we are God’s children, and we make mistakes ~ this is how children learn.

As we get older, we have learned right from wrong and should have learned from our mistakes, but sometimes we still make them.

So, now what?

Well, God just wants us to recognize that we made a mistake; say to yourself that you will try not to make it again and that you will try harder to be better next time.

That is all you can do!

There is no need to make a hike to the Western Wall and spend the next two hours repenting and wailing over a mistake you did! God just wants you to simply recognize your mistake and move on with your day…

The Perfect Place

I know myself better now than ever
I am not so easily tripped up
When I live, breathe, and eat the Word of God
I am myself
That is not saying I am perfect
It is not about being perfect
It is understanding what is perfect
All that matters is that I was my best
Then I am

  1. 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 NKJV

8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
