God, Thought-Provoking

All is Interconnected, All is One

We are One

The bible states this about who our first love is,

“Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.” Revelation 2:4,5

Revelation states that abandoning the love you had FIRST (from the beginning) means you have fallen. The book of Revelation reminds us to repent and to go back to the beginning. The Hebrew Bible states this about who the first love is;

“This is what the Lord says: Israel is my firstborn son” Exodus 4:22

It began with Israel. A people who were given land by God and were made into a nation. They were to be a nation to represent God, to be in the image of God, to reveal to the world who is God. Free from slavery of Egypt they also represent freedom from worldly ways. The Israelite’s are their own people, a people of God. These are the people today and of yesterday who have found themselves and are now no longer in slavery to the oppression of the world. They are a people who have found strength in the identity of who is God. When we love God it means we are no longer slaves to ourselves. We can instead be overcomer’s because understanding God gives us the strength to understand our true identity and purpose. God gave us a name, Israel, when He revealed Himself to Israel. This is the light of God that is meant to be there for the world to see God.

“When Israel was a child, I loved him, And out of Egypt I called My son.”  Hosea 11:1

All is interconnected, everything becomes One to all who believe, both Jew and Gentile.

“I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be My people.” Jeremiah 31:1

Jesus comes with a message that repeats itself from the Jews then to the Gentiles. Jesus is the Son who advocates for the Father, the God of Israel. The message of God and salvation is repeated. Jesus was a Jewish man. His spirit can be seen in the spirit of any righteous Jew today. Jesus said,

“Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” John 14:23

In the end, we are all One.
